DCCStands for Clover Terminals

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Clover terminals are compatible with DCCStands?

DCCStands are designed for Clover Mini (all generations), Clover Mini 3, and Clover Flex terminals. Stands marked "Clover Mini" fit both original Clover Mini and Mini 3 models. Clover Flex stands accommodate Flex terminals with or without the charging base attached. Terminal dimensions and mounting hole patterns are consistent across Clover generations, ensuring compatibility. Not compatible with Clover Station, Station Duo, or Go devices.

What's the difference between fixed, swivel, and freestanding stands?

Fixed stands hold the terminal at a set angle (typically 30-45°) with no movement—ideal for counter-service environments where the terminal always faces the customer. Swivel and tilt stands rotate 190° and tilt 60°, allowing staff to turn the terminal between themselves and customers—best for full-service restaurants, retail checkouts, and salons. Freestanding stands include an 8" x 8" base plate (round or square) and don't require drilling into countertops—perfect for temporary setups, farmer's markets, pop-up shops, or rental spaces.

How do I install a DCCStand?

Most DCCStands offer two installation methods: screw-mount or adhesive pad. Screw-mount uses four included screws to secure the base plate to your counter (recommended for permanent installations). Adhesive pad installation uses the included 3M adhesive pad for tool-free mounting (works on smooth, clean surfaces; not recommended for high-vibration environments). Freestanding models require no installation—simply attach the stand to the base plate with included screws. All stands arrive fully assembled except for terminal attachment, which uses two M6 x 12mm screws (included).

What warranty coverage do DCCStands include?

All DCCStands carry a limited lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects, material failures, and structural issues under normal commercial use. This warranty is significantly longer than the typical 1-year coverage offered by generic terminal stand manufacturers. Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, or modifications. DCCSupply has honored this warranty since 2009 with same-day replacement shipping for defective units. Clover terminals themselves are not included and carry separate manufacturer warranties (typically 1 year from Clover).

Can I use DCCStands in high-traffic retail or restaurant environments?

Yes. DCCStands are manufactured from mild steel (not plastic) with powder-coated finishes designed for commercial durability. The swivel mechanism is rated for thousands of rotations, and the tilt hinge maintains tension over years of use. Customers include national restaurant chains, big-box retailers, and payment processors deploying hundreds of units. The stands withstand repeated chip card insertions, contactless taps, and daily cleaning without loosening or cracking. Freestanding models with base plates remain stable during transactions—the weighted base prevents tipping when customers insert cards.

Do DCCStands work with Clover terminals that have protective cases or covers?

Most DCCStands are designed for bare Clover terminals without cases. If you're using a silicone protective cover or hard case, check the product specifications—some stands accommodate slim cases, but bulkier protective cases may interfere with the mounting screws or cradle fit. For Clover Flex, stands explicitly state compatibility "with or without charging base," meaning the Flex can remain in its charging cradle while mounted. Contact DCCSupply at 847-266-1220 if you need compatibility confirmation for a specific case model.

What's the typical lead time for DCCStands orders?

In-stock DCCStands ship same-day when orders are placed by 2pm Central Time. Most Clover Mini and Flex stand models are stocked at DCCSupply's Northbrook, IL facility. Custom colors, bulk orders (50+ units), or specialty configurations may require 5-10 business days. DCCSupply serves payment processors and ISOs who need rapid deployment—same-day shipping is standard, not a premium service. Orders ship via UPS Ground, FedEx, or USPS depending on destination and urgency.
